CUPRA
It draws together three core elements in the brand: design, performance and dynamism
The new CUPRA Leon: redesigned and enhanced to become a standalone model.
It’s two body versions – 5-door and Sportstourer - embraces CUPRA’s new design language DNA with the shark-nose front end, triangular matrix LED, and integrated and illuminated CUPRA logo in the rear light.
The interior incorporates a redesigned and improved HMI interface, and a new high-fidelity audio system with 12 speakers, developed in collaboration with Sennheiser Mobility. In addition, a more sustainable approach has been adopted with the introduction of recycled materials.
“The CUPRA Leon draws together the core elements that every vehicle of the brand must have design, performance and dynamism,” said Wayne Griffiths, CEO of CUPRA. “The new CUPRA Leon embraces the future with next-generation powertrains and a more environmentally conscious approach to performance.”
The new CUPRA Leon is available including four different technologies: TSI (petrol), eTSI (mild hybrid), TDI (diesel) and a new generation of eHybrid (plug-in hybrid). The powertrain options go from 150PS to 333PS between the hatchback and Sportstourer variants.
The CUPRA Leon Sportstourer gets a new petrol engine (TSI): delivering 333PS (245kW) with torque splitter technology and optional Akebono brakes, making it the most powerful CUPRA Leon ever.
The engine line-up includes a new generation of plug-in hybrid (eHybrid) technology, delivering up to 272PS (200kW) and offering more than 100km of all-electric range
