Patricia Such has been appointed Director of Corporate Operations at SEAT S.A. and Volkswagen Group companies in the Iberian Peninsula. Such will lead a newly created area that integrates Institutional Relations; CASA SEAT Barcelona and CUPRA City Garage Madrid; Health and Emergencies; and Safety. In her new position, she will report directly to CEO of SEAT and CUPRA, Wayne Griffiths.
In this new role, Patricia Such will promote a transversal vision and management of all Volkswagen Group companies in the Iberian Peninsula in order to generate synergies and ensure the quality of services provided.
Such also has the challenge of promoting dialogue with institutional, business, social and cultural networks at local, regional and national levels, as well as fostering the creation of an ecosystem in which public-private collaboration is promoted to enable the biggest transformation in the history of SEAT S.A.
CEO of SEAT and CUPRA, Wayne Griffiths, emphasised that "in the current context of disruption in the automotive industry, public-private collaboration takes on great significance. That is why we need people of the utmost trust, like Patricia, to lead this strategic area and maintain a high-level dialogue between the largest institutions in Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain and SEAT, CUPRA and the Volkswagen Group companies in Spain".

A doctor with a 360º vision
Patricia Such studied Medicine at the Hospital Clínic at the University of Barcelona and is a specialist in Occupational Medicine. She holds a degree in Occupational Risk Prevention from the prestigious Barcelona School of Engineering, UPC, and a General Management Programme (PDG) from the IESE Business School.
Such joined SEAT S.A. in 2002 and was appointed head of the company's medical services in 2011. Under her leadership, she has managed to raise health to a new level within SEAT S.A., driving the creation of CARS, the Health Care and Rehabilitation Centre for employees of the company and the Volkswagen Group in Spain. In addition, she has integrated the occupational health and safety network of the different Volkswagen Group companies in Spain and Portugal to provide a better service to its more than 20,000 employees.
During the pandemic, Such led the team that manufactured emergency respirators in the first wave of COVID-19 to supply hospitals at a time of scarce resources. She also developed the employee testing strategy, as well as leading the vaccination campaign among the population, a success story of public-private collaboration that saved the health system almost 20 million euros. With the support of Dr. Bonaventura Clotet, SEAT S.A. managed to vaccinate more than 120,000 people in Spain.
