SEAT S.A. is once again celebrating another edition of its Healthy Week. From May 15 to 19, SEAT S.A. and Volkswagen Group employees in Spain will have access to workshops and talks, both in person and online, on general and mental health, safety, nutrition, physical exercise and much more. In doing so, the company is bolstering its commitment to its employees’ health and safety.

Healthy Week has been an important initiative for SEAT S.A. since its implementation in 2018. The annual event reflects the company's commitment to employee wellbeing through projects and activities that go far beyond the normal standards and are devoted to a healthy and wholesome life.

Healthy Week is an opportunity to provide our employees with helpful resources to improve their physical and mental wellbeing and reinforce our culture of safety and risk prevention in the workplace. By committing to the health of our employees, we are investing in the long-term success of our company and the quality of life of our working community” said Patricia Such, Director of Corporate Operations at SEAT S.A.

A week full of activities

A highlight of this year’s event is the number of presentations scheduled by many renowned names from the health sector, many of them members of the Scientific Committee SEAT Healthy Company (CSSES). In addition, for the first time in this 2023, some of these activities are open to the public at CASA SEAT.

An initiative for SEAT S.A. and Volkswagen Group employees

During last year’s Healthy Week, there was a 41% increase in the number of participants. In addition, the number of workshops doubled, compared to 2021. This year, it is expected that the number of participants in the workshops and presentations will keep on increasing as has been the case in previous years.

The company is offering a wide range of activities around topics of interest to all employees. Once again, this year the Banc de Sang i Teixits (Blood and Tissue Bank) will be set up at SEAT S.A.'s headquarters in Martorell so that staff can donate blood. For the first time, as part of the event’s purpose to promote safety issues, employees will also be able to learn the techniques needed to drive an electric motorcycle in the most efficient and sustainable way with SEAT MÓ motorcycles

Workshops cover topics as varied as First Aid, Healthy Nutrition and Self Defence and feature special guests. Among them, Dr. Mercedes Sotos Prieto, researcher in Nutritional Epidemiology and Assistant Lecturer at the Harvard School of Public Health, who will share the results of her latest research related to diet and wellness. In addition, Dr. Bonaventura Clotet, President and founder of the Fight Infections Foundation (Fundación Lucha contra las Infecciones), will discuss the lessons learned from Covid-19.

European Sport and Healthy Company 2022 Award

Moreover, SEAT S.A. received at the beginning of the year the European Sport & Healthy Company 2022 award in its Gold category.  This award recognizes the company's projects related to health and physical activity aimed at its employees and the Spanish society. These include SEAT S.A.'s commitment during the pandemic, as well as its mental health initiatives.
