The new CUPRA Leon VZ TCR will compete in the FIA Motorsport Games using fuel containing 50% of advanced sustainable components

The new CUPRA Leon VZ TCR will take part in the FIA Motorsport Games as one of the eligible cars for the teams participating in the Touring Car competition, using a fuel that contains 50% of advanced sustainable components, allowing users and championships to claim lower carbon footprint. The challenger brand arrives in one of the most prestigious international racing events, where national federations compete in different categories to become the winning country.

Created to excel in the most challenging competitions

Every two years, the FIA Motorsport Games gather national motorsport authorities under their national flags in competitions from multiple motorsport disciplines. In this new edition, more than 82 countries and 646 athletes will take part in the games.

The CUPRA Leon VZ TCR will line up on the starting grid in the Touring Car races as the car selected by Eric Gené, from the Spanish Federation, Raphael Reis, from the Brazilian Federation, Aurelien Comte from French Federation, Giovanni Scamardi from Belgium federation and Jenson Brickley, from the UK Federation. For the first time, the cars competing in this category will use a fuel that contains 50% of advanced sustainable components, which has been successfully tested on the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR with outstanding results. The races will take place between 25 and 27 of October at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste, Valencia.

Since its launch in May 2024, the CUPRA Leon VZ TCR has participated in 46 races, climbing the podium in recognised circuits like Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Imola (Italy). It was also driven by Franco Girolami, from the Monlau Motorsport team, for his victory in the TCR Europe Series, and has recently announced its arrival to the USA to compete in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge 2025.
