CUPRA and FC Barcelona boost their commitment with Tavascan hand over to president Laporta and exclusive Espai Barça sneak preview

CUPRA and FC Barcelona continue building on their global alliance to inspire the world from Barcelona with their common vision for the future.

During a special visit to the new FC Barcelona commercial offices and the works of the Spotify Camp Nou, where the car brand will play a key role, Wayne Griffiths, CEO of CUPRA, and Joan Laporta, President of FC Barcelona, reaffirmed their brand’s commitment to future generations by showcasing their shared projects that connect the worlds of sport and automotive.Wayne Griffiths handed over one of the first CUPRA Tavascan to the President of FC Barcelona. CUPRA’s first 100% electric SUV coupé will serve as his official car, symbolising the brand's commitment to electric mobility and underlining its role as Official Automotive and Mobility Partner.

In addition, Joan Laporta and Wayne Griffiths conducted a site inspection at the works of the Spotify Camp Nou, the club’s future stadium, where CUPRA is also a key partner and will have branding during matches, dedicated seats and VIP partner hospitality box to enjoy the best of football. FC Barcelona also showed the progress of its visionary Espai Barça project, where CUPRA will have a strong presence. The brand will install electric chargers as well as branding in the car park of the club's commercial offices.

This meeting at FC Barcelona offices exemplifies the forward-looking nature of the CUPRA and FC Barcelona global partnership, recently renewed until 2029. CUPRA will continue to be the club’s Official Automotive and Mobility Partner and the Official Car for the next five seasons. The agreement expanded the scope of sponsorship within the club's sports sections. In addition to maintaining its relationship with the first men's and women's football teams, CUPRA became the official sponsor of the FC Barcelona basketball, futsal, handball and roller hockey teams until June 2029. The partnership continues to strengthen, driven by shared values and a commitment to making a global impact.
